A 45-year-old female patient presents with a complaint of a right sided frontal headache for approximately the past 24 hours, explaining that painkillers have not been helping. She says the vision in her right eye has been becoming worse for the past hour or so.
On examination she has no gross neurological deficits, with clear lung fields and heart sounds. Her gross visual acuity in the right eye is reduced, with her left eye intact.
Her past medical history includes Type II Diabetes, chronic heart failure, migraines and a previous cholecystectomy.
She takes regular metformin, simvastatin, bisoprolol, ramipril. Denies any allergies.
