Mucosal Thickening
Mucosal thickening may be seen in the bowel on a plain film.
What causes mucosal thickening?
The causes of mucosal thickening are:
- Inflammatory bowel disease
- Infection amoebic, campylobacter, cytomegalovirus (CMV), clostridium difficile colitis (C difficile)
- Ischaemia
