Context

Cranial nerve (CN) injuries may arise as a result of trauma or disease. Any of the 12 cranial nerves may be affected either alone or in combination.

This session will look at CN VII to XII, in turn, and review:

• The structures each nerve supplies
• Signs of each cranial nerve injury
• How to test each nerve
• Traumatic causes of injury
• Medical causes of injury
• Situations in which the cranial nerves are commonly injured together
