A 46-year-old female presents to the Emergency Department. She had been diving with her husband earlier that day. She states she had difficulty breathing on descent at approximately 35m. Her shortness of breath worsened as they descended to 40m so she signalled to him and they managed to safely ascend to the surface. She is tachypnoeic and has a new onset cough with pink frothy sputum. Her husband says she is normally fit and well apart from a recent diagnosis of hypertension.
