A 28-year-old workman is admitted to the emergency department following an accident whilst working on a construction site. He was witnessed grasping onto a disused metal cable and was unable to let go. The works foreman managed to locate and switch off the electrical source. The patient was initially unconscious for 2-3 minutes but he has had a pulse throughout.
Upon arrival he is confused but talking. His injuries are depicted in the image.
