A 20-year-old female presents to the Emergency Department at 8:00am with ‘Paracetamol poisoning’.
The patient states that she took 15 Paracetamol tablets the previous evening at 18:00pm after an argument with her boyfriend. She weighs 60kg and is taking Carbamazepine for epilepsy.
On examination she is alert and orientated. You note multiple healed scars on her forearms. The examination is otherwise unremarkable.
