You are covering a morning shift in the ambulatory area of Emergency Department (ED), when you see a 49-year-old female patient. She has returned and is accompanied by her husband with left elbow pain following a fall. The patient looked tearful and reluctant, and her husband stated she fell on stairs this morning.
On trying to obtain a history, her husband answers continually, as she is unable to speak English.
Upon reviewing her notes, you found she was discharged a week ago from the ED after a fall and was diagnosed at that time as muscular back pain.
The patient has no significant past medical history.
