Clinical Case

A 40-year-old woman presents to your Emergency Department with a two-day history of gradual onset lower abdominal pain. The pain is bilateral but worse on the right. She has noticed a greenish vaginal discharge. Her bowels are opening normally but she has vomited twice. On examination, she is moderately tender across the lower abdomen with no guarding. She has cervical excitation on speculum examination.
