A 37-year-old male maintenance worker presents following a 440 volt electric shock with entry in the left hand. Colleagues report that the shock caused him to be thrown backwards, banging his head and resulting in loss of consciousness for 1-2 minutes.
He arrives at the Emergency Department (ED) with a GCS of 13 (E3, M6, V4), indicating some pain in his left shoulder, which is then x-rayed.
